Something I'm Reading:
I’m reading a fiction series called The Great Hunt, the second book in the “Wheel of Time” series. This series is also a show on Amazon Prime which is excellent!
Something I Teach:
I shared this on my IG, but in case you didn’t see it:
Something I Photographed:
Each week I share a photo I snapped in the previous week. Sometimes serious. Sometimes random and funny. Maybe a selfie once in a while. Just because.
Spent a couple days in Nashville. Such a great city!
Something I'm Excited About:
I’m gonna see a UFC fight in person on Saturday night in Vegas (UFC 269 with Oliveira vs Poirier). I’ve always wanted to go to one!
Something I Can Answer:
Each week, I'll be answering one question from someone on my BehindTheBeard textletter! Want your question answered? Submit it by simply replying to this text!
Question: “How is it that you were able to pay 5 guys or so to start the business when not much income was streaming in yet? I'm 28, just over 100 units with some partners but I'm ready to delegate and free my time up but I feel like I don't have much income coming in yet to hire someone.”
I didn’t right away: first I partnered. Ryan Murdock came in for the first six months, and I used some amazing interns to do a lot. I’m not sure I had any payroll until I closed that first big deal and got some money coming in from the acquisition fee. That said: I recognize that my good income from book sales helps overcome the fear of “what if I can’t pay the bills?”. But know that you don’t need 5 full time people right away. I added my first five quick- but that’s beginning we grew VERY QUICK in the beginning.
Your Friend,
