 What I'm Reading:

Just wrapping up a book called, “A Man at Arms” by Steven Pressfield, a fiction book that takes place around the year 50 AD. If you recognize that name, it’s because he’s also the author of one of my all-time favorite non-fiction books, “The War of Art” which changed my life, as did the follow-up book, “Turning Pro.” We interviewed Steven on the podcast this morning - and it comes out in a few weeks - phenomenal! Keep an eye out for that interview and read all his books. They are great!

What I've Learned:

This past week, my wife and I have been dealing with COVID. It wasn’t horrible for us, and we’re getting along a lot better than many others have. But one thing I learned during this process is how much it means to me when other people brought us dinner or helped in some other way - without asking. I’m a pretty independent guy, but a few times people have surprised us with something nice and it made such a positive impact. So the lesson I’m leaning from this: how can I, in the future, go out of my way to help others when they are in a tough spot?

What I've Purchased:

This past week, while spending a lot more time watching TV than normal, I was looking around for a new TV show to binge. But nothing sounded great. So instead, I ended up buying a subscription to “The Great Courses” app, which is basically college-level courses on a variety of topics. And it’s awesome! I mean - what a crazy world we live in - for $20 a month, I can learn about pretty much anything, anytime, while laying in bed. I’m currently learning about writing fiction, as well as started a course on the history of Great Britain.

What I Photographed:

Each week I share a photo I snapped in the previous week. Sometimes serious. Sometimes random and funny. Maybe a selfie once in a while. Just because.

What I'm Excited About:

Getting out of my COVID-Jail. 5 more days and I can leave my house again!
