This Privacy Policy explains how BeardyBrandon LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses and shares your information when you visit beardybrandon.com (the “Site”), sign up for Brandon Turner’s newsletters (including The BetterLife Letter and AI for Real Estate Investors), download a free resource, register for a webinar, or send us a story. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details: your name, email address and, if you choose to give it, your phone number.
  • Signup details: which newsletters you want, your real estate experience level, and the page or free resource you signed up from.
  • Webinar and purchase details: when you buy a webinar seat or other product, our payment processor (Stripe) collects your card details. We do not store your full card number. We receive your name, email, the amount, the date, and the last four digits of your card.
  • Stories you send us: if you use our “Submit an AI use case” form, your name, email, social media link, and what you tell us about your business, the tools you used and your results.
  • Messages: emails and replies you send us.

Information we collect automatically

  • Website and device data: your IP address, browser, device type, pages you visit, the website or ad that sent you to us, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Cookies, pixels and similar tools: including the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and HubSpot tracking. See Section 5.
  • Email activity: whether you open our emails and which links you click.

Information from others

  • Our service providers may give us information about your payments, webinar attendance or signups.
  • If you already know us through another Better Life program, such as a mastermind or community, we may connect that record with your newsletter signup.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Send you the newsletters and free resources you asked for.
  • Register you for webinars, process your payment, send reminders and give you access to the replay.
  • Send you marketing emails about Brandon’s programs, events and related offers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Send you texts, but only if you opted in (see Section 4).
  • Review the stories you send us and, if you gave permission, feature them in a newsletter or on the Site.
  • Answer your questions and handle refunds.
  • Improve the Site and our newsletters, measure what works and fix problems.
  • Show and measure our ads, including to people who visited the Site (see Section 5).
  • Keep records, protect against fraud and abuse, and follow the law.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as needed:

  • Advertising partners. We use the Meta Pixel and Google tools (see Section 5). These send information about your visit, such as pages you view, your IP address, device identifiers and sometimes a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, to Meta and Google so we can measure and target our ads. Under some state privacy laws this counts as “sharing” for targeted advertising, and you can opt out (see Section 8).
  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the Site and our newsletters, such as email delivery (Kit), customer relationship management (HubSpot), payment processing (Stripe), webinars (Zoom), website hosting and databases, analytics, and AI tools that help us draft and edit content. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • Other Better Life programs. We may use your information to tell you about other programs run by us and our related companies, such as the AI for Real Estate Investors mastermind. If you reply about a topic another of our teams handles, such as real estate lending, we may pass your message to that team so they can help you.
  • Public features. If you send us a story and give permission to publish it, we may share your name, your story and the social link you gave us in a newsletter or on the Site.
  • Legal and safety reasons. When the law requires it, to respond to legal requests, to enforce our rights, or to protect you or others.
  • Business changes. If we merge, are bought or sell part of our business, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must follow this Policy.

We do not share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.

4. Emails and texts

  • Emails. When you sign up, you agree to receive the newsletters you chose and occasional emails about Brandon’s programs and events. Every email has an unsubscribe link. If you bought something, we may still send you receipts and notices about that purchase.
  • Texts. We send texts only if you check the text-message box when you sign up. Texts may include alerts, reminders and occasional marketing. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or text HELP to 808-500-7933. You do not have to agree to texts to sign up or buy anything.

5. Cookies, advertising pixels and analytics

We and our providers use cookies, pixels and similar tools to keep the Site working, understand how people use it, and measure and target our marketing. This includes the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics and HubSpot tracking. They let us see which ads and pages lead to signups, connect your visits with your signup, and show our ads to people who visited the Site or are like them.

You can limit this:

  • Change your browser settings, or use a browser or extension that blocks trackers. If you turn cookies off, parts of the Site may not work.
  • Use your ad settings on Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google to limit personalized ads.
  • Email us at matt@abetterlife.com and ask us to opt you out of targeted advertising.

We do not send your payment details to ad networks.

6. Webinars, recordings and AI tools

Webinars. We record our webinars and may share the recording as a replay with people who registered. If you speak, turn on your camera or type in the chat, that may appear in the recording. Zoom’s own privacy policy also applies when you use Zoom.

AI tools. We use AI tools to help draft, edit and organize our newsletters. If you send us a story, we may use AI tools to help turn it into a newsletter feature. Please do not send us sensitive personal information, such as details about your tenants, borrowers or employees.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your information while you are subscribed and for a reasonable time after, so we can honor your choices, answer questions, handle refunds and follow the law. We keep payment and tax records for as long as the law requires. We keep stories you send us, and any newsletters that feature them, for as long as we have a business reason to. You can ask us to delete your information under Section 8.

8. Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Ask to see the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
  • Ask us to delete your information. We may keep what we need for payments, taxes, disputes or the law.
  • Opt out of marketing emails and texts at any time.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising and of the “sharing” of your information with advertising partners.
  • Ask for a copy of your information in a common format where the law gives you that right.

To make a request, email matt@abetterlife.com from the email address you used with us. We may ask you to confirm who you are. We will reply within the time the law requires, and not later than 45 days. If your state gives you more rights, such as California, Virginia, Colorado or other states, you can use those rights too. If we say no to a request, you may appeal by replying to our email. We will not treat you differently for using your rights.

9. Security

We use reasonable steps to protect your information, including working with providers who protect data. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

10. Children

The Site is for adults and is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

11. Links to other sites

The Site and our emails link to other websites, forms and tools, such as YouTube, Instagram, Google Forms and the tools we write about. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their policies.

12. Where your information is stored

We are based in Hawaii, United States. Our providers may store and process your information in the United States and in other countries. By using the Site, you agree to this.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy. We will post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date. If you keep using the Site after the change, you accept the updated Policy.
